Our goal is to get the production work done – make that professionally done – under the best conditions for our members AND for the producers.
IATSE 514 members are proud of their work. They have contributed to some of the biggest motion picture productions – as you can tell from our Productions page – and have earned an enviable reputation. Among these, let’s mention a few of the recent productions such as Arrival, X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse to which we have supplied over 1,000 skilled technicians and workers.
We understand that success is a two way street. That’s why we represent an experienced and reliable crew that can deliver quality work in a safe working environment. And with The Recruiter, our online tool, finding the technicians you need has never been easier. In fact, we can give you all the information you need upfront, so there will be no surprises.
Here are a few examples of what some producers and directors had to say about their experience in Montreal:
“[Montreal] has everything: incredible food, nice people and, from a purely professional standpoint, Quebec offers incredible tax credits and the crews are fantastic. You get everything you need in Montreal.”
—Roland Emmerich, Director (The Day After Tomorrow, White House Down)
“It was a real pleasure working in Montreal. Everyone on the crew was professional, hard-working and, most importantly, a team player. I wouldn’t think twice about bringing a film back to Quebec…”
—Hawk Koch Jr, Producer (Source Code)
“I adore Montreal, the restaurants, the people… But above all, I love working here. The technicians are so competent that I don’t need to bring people with me. Over the years, I even found individuals so talented that I offered them work on other productions elsewhere.”
—Mark Gordon, Producer (Gothica)
Finally, as you probably guessed, we do want you to come back!
